Peter Obi joins Saraki, Umahi, David Mark, others at Ekweremadu’s son’s wedding

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 poll Peter Obi on Saturday joined dignitaries at the wedding of Lloyd Ekweremadu, first son of the former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu.

Lloyd, also known as Ike Ekweremadu Jnr, and Tiffany exchanged marital vows at the Basilica of Grace Anglican Church, Gudu, Abuja.

Guests have gathered for the reception at AIB Event Centre, Wuse 2, Abuja.

The groom is serving as a commissioner in the cabinet of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State. The bride’s parents are Mr and Mrs Obinna Uzor from Ebonyi.

Mr Obi, who came in late for the church wedding, got a round of applause when introduced.

Dignitaries present are former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius, Bukola Saraki and David Mark; Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, PDP governorship candidate in Kogi, Dino Melaye; Senators Dave Umahi, Obinna Ogba, Rafiu Ibrahim, Isa Misau, Philips Aduda, Uche Ekwunife, and Bidoun Olujimi among others.

QEDNG learnt Anyim will chair the wedding reception.

Ekweremadu and wife Beatrice are not at the wedding ceremony as they are serving jail terms in the United Kingdom. They were jailed in May for conspiring to traffic a market trader to the UK to harvest his kidney.
