Jandor visits GAC members ahead of Lagos APC primaries

Olajide Adediran Jandor

Lagos gubernatorial aspirant Olajide Adediran, better known as Jandor, on Thursday met with the chairman of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) Tajudeen Olusi, as part of consultations ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries.

Jandor also met with GAC member Cardinal James Odumbaku, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Adeyemi Ikuforiji and party chieftain Monsuru Batola.

In a statement signed by his spokesperson Gbenga Ogunleye, the meetings were part of ongoing engagements with party stakeholders.

Jandor said the consultations were aimed at involving party leaders and members in his governorship bid.

He said his approach includes engaging both party leadership and members across wards and polling units in the state.

As part of this, he directed leaders of his political structure across 377 wards and 13,326 polling units in Lagos State to begin engagement with party members.

He said the move was to mobilise support ahead of the party primaries.

Jandor also said he values the role of the GAC in the APC in Lagos State and noted that its guidance remains important to party activities.

He added that he remains loyal to the APC and is ready to work with party leaders and members.

In a separate post on Facebook, Jandor shared details of the visit, stating that he met Olusi and other GAC members during the consultation.

He also said he visited Batola at his residence after the meeting.

“Earlier today, in continuation of my consultations with Elders of our party, I visited the chairman of Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi. I was equally received by other eminent members of GAC, Cardinal James Odunbaku (Baba Eto) and Former Speaker of the Lagos State house of Assembly Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Sabit Ikuforiji.
On the sideline of this visit, I also met with Hon. Monsuru Alao Batola in his Ebumeta home,” he wrote.
