I back Seyi Tinubu, not his father’s government – Sarah Martins

Actress Sarah Martins has said she would openly support Seyi Tinubu if he decides to run for political office.

Sarah made the statement on Thursday on Instagram while responding to critics who she said label her a political tool over her support for him.

She said, ” If SEYI TINUBU (@seyitinubu )comes out to contest for anything now or later, I will LOUDLY campaign for him!

“You all bully me for being loyal to a man that saw value in me when each and everyone of you saw my humanity in service as clout chasing?”

She added that her support is for Seyi and not for the administration of Bola Tinubu, saying, “You see this una new title “political tool” I accept it with my full chest only for Seyi Tinubu’s government not his father’s government!

“I am BIG on loyalty, get used to it.

“NOTICE: I am working towards getting a good truck for my charity outreach to enable me go to rural areas to feed vulnerable communities as my car is too small to accommodate my team and my cooking utensils for the movement. Kindly support this project if you can and remain blessed 🙏❤️”

Sarah has been in the spotlight in recent months over her street feeding initiative in Lagos. In October 2025, officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps disrupted one of her outreach programmes in Lekki, seizing her cooking equipment and food items while she was preparing meals for the less privileged. She also alleged she sustained burns during the encounter.

The Lagos State Government later said the action was taken because cooking on roads, walkways and medians violates environmental and public order regulations. Authorities advised that such activities should be carried out only in approved locations.

Following the incident, Sarah revealed that Seyi Tinubu supported her charity with financial assistance to help her expand her outreach and secure a more suitable setup for her feeding programme.
