Funke Akindele prays for AMVCA win

Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele whose film A Tribe Called Judah bagged multiple nominations at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards ((AMVCA) has made a prayer point to win in all nominated categories.

A Tribe Called Judah bagged five nominations including best actress, best film, best actor, best director and best writer.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Funke shared behind-the-scenes clips from the film and prayed to win all the nominated categories.

She wrote: “I miss you guys so much. Thank you al for making history with me. love you all. Al the best at the AMVCAS!! I pray we win so we can celebrate. My babies timini @tobimakinde @iamjidekene @olumideoworu.”

Funke who was nominated for best actress, will battle Kehinde Bankole, Ireti Doyle, Omowunmi Dada, Adaobi Dibor, Lucie Debay, Segilola Ogidan and Evelyne Ily for the win.

The 10th edition of the AMVCA will hold on Lagos on May 11.
