Funke Akindele hails Chioma Akpotha’s character in Omo Ghetto

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has hailed the character her colleague Chioma Akpotha plays in Omo Ghetto (The Saga).

Chioma plays the role of Chummy Choko in the movie.

She is a member of Lefty’s (Funke) gang.

Funke, 43, shared pictures of Chioma from Omo Ghetto (The Saga) in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

She said Chummy Choko is always ready for action.

“Chummy Choko!! Always ready for the action,” she wrote.

Before the release of the movie, Funke said she wanted to learn how to speak the Igbo language after Chioma’s performance on the ‘Askamaya Anthem’.

“Chioma you killed it!! Now i want to learn how to speak Igbo,” she wrote.

Chioma also shared a video of herself in the ghetto look on Instagram.

She said, “Onye gbaa oso….Chummy Choko!! Always ready for the action.”

Other members of Lefty’s gang include Eniola Badmus and Bimbo Thomas.

Omo Ghetto (The Saga) was directed by Funke and her husband JJC Skillz.

The movie was premiered at EbonyLife Place, Lagos on December 20.

Chioma Akpotha, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Thomas, RMD, Bovi among others shinned at the premiere.

Omo Ghetto (The Saga) was released in cinemas on Christmas Day, December 25.

The prequel Omo Ghetto was released in 2010 starring Funke Akindele, Rachel Oniga, Taiwo Hassan, Yinka Quadri, and Eniola Badmus.

The movie is based on societal vices by a women-dominated gang.
