Ozioma Okposo, wife of late Nigerian gospel singer Sammie Okposo, has marked what would have been his birthday with an emotional tribute.
She shared the tribute on her Instagram page on Sunday alongside pictures of herself and the late singer.
In her message, she wrote, “Happy Birthday in Heaven, my love. ❤️ You are missed every single day. There are so many things that remind me of you, I carry your love and memory in my heart always. Today, I honor your life, Forever loved. Forever missed and never forgotten 🤍 🤍 🤍 ”
Sammie Okposo and Ozioma got married in July 2010 and remained together until his death on November 25, 2022.
The late singer was one of Nigeria’s well known gospel artistes with a career that spanned over two decades. He was known for songs such as “Welu Welu” and “Oghene Doh,” and also organised the Sammie Okposo Praise Party, which featured gospel artistes from within and outside Nigeria.
He died at the age of 51.
Since his death, Ozioma has continued to remember him on significant dates, including his birthday and the anniversary of his death, often sharing tributes on social media in his honour.
