Afrobeat star, Seun Kuti, has blamed his failure to share a 40th birthday message for fellow singer, D’banj, on a drink which D’banj offered him.
The 37-year-old made the joke when he shared a belated birthday message to the Kokomaster, as he is popularly called, who turned 40 on Tuesday.
“Happy birthday Broski (belated)!! #getthesax na u give me drink Wey I forget to post when I reach house sha Loool!! @iambangalee,” he captioned a picture of himself, his girlfriend, Yetunde, D’banj and D’banj’s wife, Lineo Kilgrow.
D’banj, whose real name is Dapo Oyebanji, on Tuesday revealed that he received the best birthday present ever when he signed his biggest endorsement deal on his birthday.
He wrote on Instagram, “The biggest deal ever and the best birthday gift. Major shoutout to Heritage Bank Plc for this one…”
