Davido accepts AY Makun’s apology over joke on manhood

Afrobeat star Davido has accepted comedian AY Makun‘s apology over a joke he made about the former’s private part.

AY, 52, tendered his apology on Sunday with a picture of the musician and videos of the duo posted on Instagram, noting that he deserves the backlash he was getting for it.

The comic star had said at Warri Again Festival held on October 6 that Davido was impregnating women with his “small pr**k” while it took him (AY) 13 years to impregnate his wife.

“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore. It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it,” AY noted.

“Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash or negative thoughts coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido.”

Mr dream crusher, Davido knocks Pinnick, vows not to refund $94,600

Davido replied to the post, implying in Pidgin that he had forgiven the comedian.

“Nothing spoil baba mi ❤️,” he wrote.

The video of AY’s joke surfaced after Davido’s clash with former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick.

Mr Pinnick, in a viral video, accused Davido of not coming for the 19th edition of the festival even after being paid $94,600 and his flight arranged.

Davido responded on Sunday through a post on Instagram Story, saying he would not pay back the money but would instead double it and give it to a football charity organisation.
