Actress Kate Henshaw has spoken about filming an intimate scene with Daniel Etim-Effiong in Blood Sisters 2, saying the actor conducted himself professionally throughout the shoot.
Speaking with Chude Jideonwo, Kate addressed public interest in the scene and explained how it was handled on set.
“My character was topless while we were shooting the sex scene and at no point did Daniel get an erection,” she said, emphasizing the professional nature of the scene.
She added that communication was important during filming and noted that Daniel remained reassuring throughout the process.
The comments come amid discussions among viewers about some of the scenes in the second season of the Netflix thriller, which premiered on June 5.
Kate reprises her role as Uduak Ademola in the series, while Daniel returns as Kola Ademola. The show follows Sarah and Kemi, played by Ini Dima-Okojie and Nancy Isime, whose lives become entangled in a web of secrets, crime and family power struggles.
Created by Temidayo Makanjuola and produced by EbonyLife Studios, Blood Sisters debuted on Netflix in May 2022 and quickly gained attention as one of the streaming platform’s early African original series.
The second season features returning cast members including Nancy Isime, Ini Dima-Okojie, Kehinde Bankole, Gabriel Afolayan, Wale Ojo, Daniel Etim-Effiong and Kate Henshaw. New additions to the cast include Uche Jombo, Segun Arinze, Michelle Dede and Mike Afolarin.
Directed by Daniel Oriahi and Kayode Kasum, the four episode season continues the story of Sarah and Kemi as they navigate the consequences of past events while facing fresh threats from the influential Ademola family.
