Nollywood has given me freedom to be different – Kate Henshaw

Actress Kate Henshaw has expressed her love for the movie industry, saying that Nollywood has given her the freedom to be different.

The 50-year-old stated this in an Instagram post on Monday, adding that she loves being an actress.

“I love what I do…I love the freedom it gives me to be different people. I love Nollywood…Everything we love about Nollywood is now on Netflix. Come home with me to Nollywood,” she wrote.

Born in July 1971, the fitness lover got her first lead role in 1993 in the movie When the Sun Sets.

Kate has featured in several movies like A Million Tears, Show Me Heaven, Above Death, Silent Night, New Money, 4th Republic, Chief Daddy, Roti and Stronger Than Pain.

In 2008, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award(AMAA) for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film Stronger than Pain which features veteran actor Nkem Owoh.

She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Award in 2018, for her performance in the movie Roti.
