Cubana Chief Priest cuts ties with boss Obi Cubana

Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has ended his relationship with his boss and chairman of nightclub chain Cubana Group, Obi Cubana.

Cubana Chief Priest born Pascal Okechukwu now reportedly runs his own nightclub named De Angels Bar and Grill located in Owerri, Imo State capital. Cubana Group also runs a nightclub in Owerri.

The breakaway has caused Obi Cubana born Obi Iyiegbu to unfollow his former employee on Instagram.

Cubana Chief Priest has more Instagram followers (2 million as of Thursday, September 3) and is more popular on social media than Obi Cubana with over 400,000 Instagram followers.

In an early morning post on Thursday, Cubana Chief Priest said he had served well and only needed his freedom.

“A child is meant to grow to be greater than the father/master, why you come dey vex? Nobody can do it better than me am doing destiny, am doing the will of god, I have served so well n learnt so much, I did so well that history will never forget, I need my freedom, I have to do my own e no suppose cause fight nah, well is still love forever on this side, may God protect n keep us,” he wrote.

Cubana Chief Priest enjoys a good relationship with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and has been seen severally meeting with the governor.

According to the Instagram feed of De Angels nightclub, the company has been up and running since 2018, although in partnership with Cubana Group.

Cubana Chief Priest shared a video of himself and Davido at a resort on Thursday on Instagram, revealing DMW signee Mayorkun would be performing live at De Angels nightclub on Friday, September 4.

“@davidoofficial Love forever, you too bam, a cry for 1 is a cry for all, thank you. DMW Finest @iammayorkun live @_deangels tomorrow,” he wrote.
