Singer Burna Boy has bagged four nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards, making him the most nominated Nigerian artiste of the year.

Burna Boy who is already a Grammy winner emerged as the Nigerian singer with the most nominations. He was nominated in the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ for his single ‘Sittin’ on Top of the World’ featuring 21 Savage.

The singer also bagged the ‘Best Global Music Album’ nomination, ‘Best Global Music Performance’ and ‘Best African Music Performance’ nominations.

Burna Boy will be going against Davido, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu and Gaurav Shah for the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ win.

He will also be competing with Davido, Susana Baca, Shakti, and Bokante in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category.

Burna Boy will battle Asake, Ayra Starr, Davido and South Africa’s Tyla for ‘Best African Music Performance’ category.

The 32-year-old lost in the “Best Global Music Album’ and the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories at the 2023 Grammys.

Another Nigerian, Blessing Offor, got two nominations for ‘My Tribe’ in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album category and ‘Believe’ in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song category.

Three new categories made their debut at the 2024 Grammys; ‘Best African Music Performance’, ‘Best Alternative Jazz Album’ and ‘Best Pop Dance Recording’.

The 66th Grammy will be held on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
