Singer and producer Young Jonn has said he is not ready to commit to one woman.
Speaking in an interview, the 31-year-old explained that he prefers to keep things platonic because he cannot give himself fully to one person.
“Everybody loves love. I mean, love is wonderful. But, I’m not really in that space where I can give so much of me to one person. So, I’m just keeping it platonic with everybody,” he said.
He added, “I don’t want a serious relationship right now. Because I feel like I won’t be able to give that person as much as I’m supposed to. So why put them in that situation?”
In another remark that has drawn reactions, he said, “My problem with women is that I can’t stick with just one dish. I’m human, I can’t help it.”
Young Jonn, born John Saviours Udomboso, first gained attention as a producer, working with artistes like Olamide and Lil Kesh, before launching his own music career under Chocolate City.
His love life has also attracted public interest. He was linked to Adenike Adeleke, known as Nikos Living, a cousin of Davido, after they were seen together on social media. The pair never confirmed a relationship, and reports later suggested they went their separate ways.
The singer has continued to focus on his music while maintaining that he is not ready for a serious relationship.
