Actress Bukky Wright has revealed that she went into acting so her children would be able to find her when they grew older.
The 59-year-old made the revelation during a panel session at an event in Lagos where she spoke about her personal struggles and journey in the film industry.
According to her, she did not join Nollywood because she wanted fame or popularity.
“I actually started acting so that when my children grow up, they would be able to know where to find me. I never thought of becoming a star,” she said.
Bukky added that her children were taken away from her when they were very young after she married into a wealthy family that doubted her future.
“My children were taken from me when they were very young because I married into a very wealthy family, and they did not think I would become anything in life. And here I am today!”
The actress said she is proud of how her life eventually turned out despite the painful experience.
