Troubled singer, Blackface, has sued Wizkid and Banky W over an alleged intellectual property theft.

In two posts to Instagram on Thursday, Blackface claimed that ‘Slow Whine’, a song on Wizkid’s debut Superstar album released in 2011, is a reproduction of ‘Like The Way’, a record he put out in April 2010.

He alleged that the vocal rhythm, melodic progression and lyrical content of principal parts were ‘stolen’ from his song.

The singer asked for an order stopping the marketing, distribution or any commercialisation of Wizkid’s Superstar album because the disputed song is on it.

Blackface also requested that the court gifts him N40 million as damages for “musical plagiarism” and infringement of his recording.

I just filed so you will get served 👌

Blackface, born Augustine Obiabo, revealed last month that he is being sued for N50m by his former Plantashun Boiz label mate, 2face Idibia.

The Benue born singer has over the years accused 2face of song theft and failure to give him songwriting credits for his songs.

He also accused the iconic singer of orchestrating his marginalisation in the music industry.
