Babangida Adamu marries two women same day

Youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Garki Ward, Abuja Babangida Adamu has taken two women as wives on the same day.

The real estate broker married his brides Maimuna Mahmud and Maryam Na’ibi on Saturday, March 6 in two separate ceremonies that took place few hours apart.

According to reports, the first wedding fatiha took place at Kado Bmiko Juma’at Mosque beside Kado Bmiko Primary School, 1st Avenue Gwarinpa at 10:00am. The second wedding was held at Garki Village Central Mosque, Garki II Abuja at 1:30pm.

Adamu said it had always been a dream for him to marry two women on the same day.

“For long it has been my dream to marry two women on the same day, some people felt it would be impossible but God has made it happen,” he was quoted as saying by BBC Pidgin.

It was learnt that the groom and his newly wedded wives proceeded to host a grand wedding reception at Apo Resettlement Town Hall, Abuja.

The incident has generated diverse reactions on social media.

Ozeigbe Samuel’s edited reaction on Facebook reads: “He is proud to marry two wives. I wish you all the best. Congratulations!”

Ayodele Yinusa also wrote: “Congratulations! Everyone is responsible for his/her decision.”
