Journalist Adewale Ojeleye has declared his intention to contest the 2027 general elections after obtaining the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination form for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The form was obtained on Saturday at the APC secretariat, marking the start of his bid to represent the constituency.
Speaking after collecting the form, Mr Ojeleye said he was committed to serving the people of Ifako-Ijaiye through representation, community development and inclusive governance.
“This step reflects my commitment to serve the people of Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01. I am determined to provide responsive leadership, protect the interests of our people and contribute to the growth and development of Lagos State,” he said.
He added that he would focus on addressing the needs of constituents through lawmaking and community engagement.
Adewale Ojeleye also thanked party leaders, stakeholders and supporters for their support and confidence.
He called for unity within the APC as preparations continue for the 2027 elections.
The Lagos State House of Assembly election is expected to attract interest from aspirants across constituencies ahead of the next electoral cycle.
