Skit maker turned actress Abike Shugaa has refollowed filmmaker Toyin Abraham amid rumour that they are fighting over the promotion of Toyin’s latest film Malaika.
Speculations that the duo are not on good terms heightened after Abike and Toyin unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Although the reason for the unexpected move was not revealed, many claimed that Toyin Abraham got upset because Abike promoted Funke Akindele’s latest film A Tribe Called Judah which premiered seven days after Malaika.
Others soon started storming the comment section of Abike’s Instagram post to accuse her of failing to promote the film despite being a lead cast.
But QEDNG’s check on her Instagram account on Thursday revealed that the 25-year-old has started following Toyin again but the latter has not yet followed her back.
QEDNG also observed that Abike has stopped promoting Malaika on her Instagram account. Her last post about Malaika was on December 29, 2023.

The actresses have remained silent on the speculation.
Abike who plays the character Chichi spoke to QEDNG at the movie premiere about her relationship with Toyin.
“The relationship with mama Toyin Abraham, I don’t think anybody could foresee the kind of relationship we have we always have conversations, we always have to sit together, she always reminds me why I am Chichi instead of being Abike. She always reminded me why she is playing my stepmother,” she said.
