Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has encouraged Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, over his decision to contest for a primary ticket to represent a constituency in the Ghanaian parliament.

Dumelo announced the decision in an Instagram post on Friday.

Yul, 37, praised the actor for his decision and wished him good luck in a post on social media.

“Great step. In this race there’s never a loss. It’s either you win or you learn, and do it again. Best of luck brother!” he wrote.

Yul Edochie has also tried his hands at politics in the past, he was once an aide to Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano.

In 2018, the star actor announced his defection from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He was pictured with the PDP’s vice-presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at a rally for the South-East region held in Awka, Anambra State, earlier in the year.
