Western Post newspaper for launch

Western Post, a newspaper founded by seasoned journalist, Tunde Rahman, is to be officially launched on Tuesday, September 15.

According to a statement by publishers of the newspaper, Western Post Newspaper Nigeria, the launch will take up at Civic Centre Hall of Bashorun Agodi in, GRA, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Topic for debate at the launch is ‘The dwindling oil revenue: A case for regional integration’.

Director-General of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, Mr. Dipo Famakinwa, will present the Lead Paper on the theme while Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Dr. Tunji Olaopa, and Centre Director, Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS), Prof. Anthony Kila, are among the discussants.

Chairman of the occasion is Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, while Special Guest of Honour will be Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, with Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, as royal father of the day.

Other Guests of Honour include President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yusuf Suleiman Lasun.

Others are Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko; Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose; Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, and Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

Before establishing Western Post, Rahman Was the Editor of ThisDay on Sunday.
