Actor Vine Olugu has revealed that he would have married his Everything Is New Again co‑star Mercy Aigbe if she was not already married.
He made the comment during a casual interview on the Pulse Fun Facts segment with Mercy. When asked if he would explore a relationship like that of their characters, Ekene and Funmi, Olugu said he would not mind because “love trumps all.”
He added that he is not worried about family reactions, although he acknowledges them as a factor, saying he ultimately decides what is best for him.
Then he added, “If you were not married…” to which Mercy completed the statement, “you would have married me.” Seemingly agreeing, he asked Mercy, “Will that shock you?”
