Ukrainian, 11 other coronavirus patients discharged in Lagos

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday announced the recovery and discharge of 12 coronavirus patients in the state.

Mr Sanwo-Olu wrote on Facebook that a Ukrainian was among those discharged after testing negative twice to the disease.

“12 more persons; nine males and three females including a foreign national – a Ukrainian – have been discharged from our isolation facilities to reunite with the society,” he wrote.

“The patients, six from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba; five from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital and one from Ibeju-Lekki were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

“This brings to 199 the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos.”
