Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has been heavily criticised for travelling to Abuja to welcome son of the President, Yusuf Buhari, back to Nigeria after a medical treatment abroad.
Yusuf was flown to Germany on January 12, 2018 after treatment at Cedarest Hospital, Abuja for injuries sustained in a motorbike accident in the Federal Capital Territory on December 26, 2017.
He returned to the country in the early hours of Thursday to the delight of his family and other well-wishers.
Among those present in Abuja to welcome the son of President Muhammadu Buhari was Governor Bello who has become a regular face at the Presidential Villa.
Bello’s presence in Abuja did not go down well with many Twitter users, some of whom accuse him of sycophancy and incompetence.
