Aisha Buhari thanks Nigerians as son returns from medical trip

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has expressed her profound appreciation to Nigerians following the return of her son, Yusuf Buhari, from medical treatment in Germany.

The younger Buhari was flown abroad on January 12, 2018 after treatment at Cedarest Hospital for injuries sustained in a motorbike accident in Abuja on December 26, 2017.

Mrs Buhari was at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja to welcome her son back home on Thursday morning.

In a message posted on social media on Thursday, Aisha Buhari said her family is grateful to all Nigerians for their constant prayers.

“We thank God for the return of our son Yusuf today after his medical trip.

“On behalf of the family, I wish to express our appreciation for the goodwill and prayers since the unfortunate accident.

“May God Almighty bless all and continue to guide us all aright,” she wrote.

Yusuf arrived Nigeria on Thursday in the company by his mother’s personal physician, his elder sister Halima Buhari and other family members.

President Muhammadu Buhari; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi; Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau; Minister of State for Health, Dr Osagie Ohineri, and other close associates of the family were at the Presidential Villa to welcome him.
