Tinubu, Buhari, Gowon, Osinbajo attend Femi Adesina’s book launch

President Bola Tinubu, his predecessor Muhammadu Buhari, and former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (retd) on Tuesday attended the public presentation of a book written by Buhari’s former special adviser on media and publicity Femi Adesina.

The book titled Working with Buhari: Reflections of a Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, (2015-2023) was presented to the public at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja with Tinubu as the special guest of honour.

The event was the first time Buhari and Tinubu would appear publicly together since the handover of power on May 29, 2023.

Gowon was the chairman of the occasion while the co-chairman was General I.B.M Haruna.

The book was presented alongside five volumes of another book titled Muhammadu Buhari, The Nigerian Legacy, 2015 to 2023.

The five-volume book was reviewed by the director-general of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Professor Eghosa Osaghae; and a professor of political science, Kabiru Mayo.

Adesina’s book, however, was reviewed by a former CNN Journalist of the Year, Shola Oshunkeye.

The launch was attended by top politicians including former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abass, former Senate President Ahmad Lawan, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje; and chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Others were the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; former minister of labour, employment and productivity, Chris Ngige; former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai; businessman Mohammed Indimi, former minister of the FCT, Mohammad Bello; former minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika; and former minister of information, culture and national orientation, Lai Mohammed.

Also at the launch were Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, minister of solid minerals development, Dele Alake; minister of steel development, Prince Sanusi Audu; and former Minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola.
