Taiwo Odukoya’s faith never shook despite obstacles – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed sadness over the death of the founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church Taiwo Odukoya.

Odukoya died on Monday in the United States at the age of 67, his church announced on Tuesday.

Mr Sanwo-Olu said in his social media post that Odukoya’s faith never waned in the face of obstacles.

“It was with utter shock and sadness that I received the news of the passing of Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, the founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church,” he said.

“Pastor Odukoya was a dear brother and friend. He was a dedicated man of God whose faith and belief in God never shook nor waned despite experiencing the obstacles of life.

“He was steadfast in worship and diligent in service. He was a great preacher and teacher, whose life and ministry has continued to impact the lives of people within the Christian body and outside.

“Pastor Odukoya’s demise is indeed a heart-wrenching reminder that this life is indeed fleeting.

“My sincere condolences to his dear children, Tolu Ijogun, Jimmy Odukoya, Tobi Enuha, Jomiloju and Timilehin Odukoya and the entire Odukoya family.”

The governor also sent condolences to Odukoya’s friends, associates, the congregation of The Fountain of Life Church, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the entire Christian body.

“May his soul find rest with God, and may the good Lord comfort his friends, family, and all members of his church. Amen,” he added.
