Stop fighting, Banky W tells Wizkid, Davido

Singer, Banky W, has intervened in the feud between his younger colleagues, Davido and Wizkid, reminding the artistes that nothing is better than working together.

The 36-year-old was reacting to a tweet fight that began after Davido subtly mocked Wizkid in Olamide’s song ‘Summer Body’.

Wizzy responded by calling Davido “frog voice” before Tekno added fire with his unsolicited tweet directed at the former.

It became messier as Wizkid dubbed the ‘Pana’ singer “duck face”.

Just as fans were taking sides and settling down for a prolonged fight, Bank W stepped in to play the role of elder statesman.

Drawing inspiration from the lyrics of Jay Z’s song ‘Family Feud’ of the rapper’s new 4:44 album, Banky W wrote on Instagram:  “What’s better than one billionaire? Two.”

He concluded his pacifist message, telling the warring parties, also in Jay Z’s words, “nobody wins when the family feuds.”

Wizkid got his break after he signed a record deal with Banky W.’s record label Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) in 2009, rising to prominence in 2010 with the release of the song ‘Holla at Your Boy’ from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011).
