Stan Nze stunned by Blessing Obasi’s Blood Sisters role

Actor Stan Nze

Actor Stan Nze has praised his wife Blessing Obasi for her performance in Blood Sisters 2, saying he was stunned by how convincingly she portrayed her character, Mimi.

The actress has been receiving positive reviews since the release of the second season of the Netflix thriller produced by Mo Abudu.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Stan celebrated her performance, saying he barely recognised her on screen and joking that he would have believed she had been in prison if he did not know her personally.

“Can we take a moment to celebrate the gift @blessingjessicaobasi

“My precious Jewel.
Lolo 1 of the whole Nzerian Kingdom of
My Love, you did justice and more to Mimi. What?!
I didn’t recognise the lady I saw on that screen. If I didn’t know you, I would have thought you had been to prison before. My goodness.

“Thank you, baby, for putting in the work to be intentional and for sacrificing so that the world could experience premium entertainment.
Thank you. I pray that this opens even greater doors for you and that more people would come to realise the great gift you are.
Take all your flowers.
In fact, scratch that. Take the entire garden.
You deserve it all.
Guys, if you haven’t seen BLOOD SISTERS yet, do yourself a favour and do so this weekend. Except, of course, you don’t mind spoilers”.

Stan is not the only one who has praised Blessing’s acting in the series.

Actress Bimbo Ademoye recently commended her performance, noting that she made a strong impression despite having limited screen time. Mercy Johnson also applauded her acting skills, describing her performance as memorable.

Reacting to the praise, Blessing said she was overwhelmed by the support and positive feedback from viewers and colleagues.

“What a beautiful evening?!
I’m still overwhelmed by the love, support, and kind words shared at my Blood Sisters Watch Party hosted @r.m_lagos. Seeing my people come together to celebrate this project and my journey as an actor was truly, truly special!

“Thank you to everyone who came to watch, laugh, react, and share in the experience with me. Your support means more than you know.
A special thank you to @moabudu and the incredible team behind Blood Sisters 2, for the opportunity to be part of such a phenomenal production.
It is an honour to bring Mimi to life and to be seen.
The reviews, messages, and conversations have been incredibly humbling. Thank you for watching, for cheering me on, and for believing in the work.
Cheers to many more stories.”
