Singer and songwriter, Simisola Ogunleye, simply known on the music scene as Simi, was maid of honour at her mother’s wedding on Saturday.
The 29-year-old who started her career as a gospel singer joined others at the Daystar Christian Centre in Oregun, Lagos for what was tagged #FAJO2018.
Simi’s mum, Jedidiah Ogunleye, had announced during the New Year crossover service at Daystar that she was getting married 20 years after she reportedly separated from the singer’s father.
“Just this year a man walked into my life and as you can see, I am now engaged and would be getting married in January 2018,” she told the stunned congregation.
