Saraki didn’t promise me financial assistance – Yinka Ayefele

Nigerian gospel tungba singer Yinka Ayefele

Tungba gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele, says Senate President Bukola Saraki has not promised him any financial assistance following the demolition of the building housing his music studio and Fresh FM radio station by the Oyo State Government on Sunday.

The singer’s position was made known in a Facebook pos by his manager, David Ajiboye, on Wednesday.

“Yinka Ayefele Ltd is using this medium to inform the general public that the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki did not promise Dr. Yinka Ayefele, Fresh FM or its management any amount of money. Please disregard information being circulated to this regard,” Ajiboye wrote.

He went on to accuse the Oyo State Government of being behind the rumour which had not gained traction in the media as at the time of filing this report.

Ayefele’s Music House, reportedly estimated to be worth N800million, was located along the Challenge-Toll Gate Road in Ibadan.

The government said it contravened the state’s physical planning law.

It was demolished after the expiration of a three-day demolition notice.
