Ruger confirms exit from Don Jazzy’s brother D’Prince’s record label

Singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known as Ruger, has confirmed his departure from Jonzing World, owned by Don Jazzy’s brother D’Prince.

Ruger made the confirmation in an Instagram post on Tuesday in which he announced the launching of his label named Blown Boy.

“Thank you Jonzing world and dprince for believing in me and taking me this far. Wouldn’t have gotten here without you. It’s sad that I have to leave but God knows best. I am taking a big bet on myself this year. I don’t know it all but I know God will see me through. It is time for @blownboyent,” he wrote.

Ruge, 24, rose to fame with the song ‘Bounce’ after joining the label in 2021 and he released his debut EP, Pandemic in the same year.
