Rotimi Amaechi releases new song after shunning Tinubu’s inauguration

Rotimi Amaechi

Former minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi and wife Judith have released a new song.

The song is part of their responsorial psalm series with focus on Psalm 104.

Produced by Obiblo Music, the song also features the former minister’s family and Obiblo music crew.

This is coming two years after the ex-governor of Rivers State released a single, also a responsorial psalm, in celebration of his 56th birthday. Amaechi clocked 58 on May 27.

The top-ranking member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was conspicuously absent at the inauguration of former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s 16th President on Monday at Eagle Square in Abuja.

He is believed to have stayed away due to Tinubu’s alliance with his (Amaechi’s) political foe, ex-governor Nyesom Wike.

Amaechi was spotted at the inauguration of Labour Party’s Alex Otti as the governor of Abia State at Umuahia Township Stadium.

Throughout the six-month campaign period approved by INEC, Amaechi did not attend any of Tinubu’s rallies nationwide even the one he had in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Amaechi had also sought his party’s presidential ticket which was won by Tinubu.
