Reno Omokri, former aide of President Goodluck Jonathan, has returned to Twitter three days after mourning his grandfather.

The former presidential aide, on his return to social media on Thursday, acknowledged condolences from friends and well-wishers.

“My family and I Thank You For Condolence Over My Grandfather’s (Father) Death,” he captioned a video.

Mr Omokri lost his grandfather on April 13 and proceeded on a three-day hiatus from social media to mourn the man he respected and loved the most.

“I just lost the man I respect and love the most, bar none, living or dead, except Christ,” Omokri wrote on Twitter at the time.

“The man that in my native tongue (Itsekiri), I would call my olayemi. I lost my grandfather. I was born in his house. He brought me up as a son. This will be my last post for the next 3 days.”
