Police arrest Jibrin-Kofa over supporters clash with Kwankwaso’s in Kano

The police in Kano have arrested a member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal constituency, Abdulmumini Jibrin-Kofa, over Thursday’s clash between supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kano police spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday that the lawmaker was arrested alongside some political leaders from the area.

They will be questioned about the clash between supporters of the PDP and APC at Kofa village in Bebeji local government area.

Twenty vehicles were burnt and 18 others vandalised, while many were injured and two lost their lives in the deadly clash.
