The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State has rejected the results of the presidential election conducted in the state last Saturday.

Collation officer for the presidential election in Kano, Prof. Magaji Garba, had on Tuesday morning announced the results after putting figures together from the 44 local government areas of the state.

He said that Muhammadu buhari of the APC scored 1,464,768 votes to defeat the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who scored 391,593 votes.

However, PDP agent at the collation centre, Rabiu Sulaiman-Bichi, who is also the state PDP Chairman, alleged on Tuesday that the figures were inflated.

“We cannot accept such an inflated figures and that is our stand, so we will go back and analyse the issue to know the next line of action to take.

“As you can see, the presiding officers complained of lack of use of card readers during the voting exercise of the presidential and national assembly elections in the state coupled with over-voting.

“We shall look at the circumstances and provisions of the law and see what the law says so as to pursue our rights,” he said.

According to NAN, Mr Sulaiman-Bichi signed and collected a copy of the result sheet.
