Osinbajo, Adeboye, Gbenga Daniel, others present at funeral of Dapo Abiodun’s father

Dignitaries thronged the funeral of Pa Emmanuel Abiodun, father of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday at Iperu-Remo, Ogun.

The older Abiodun died on August 2, 2021 at the age of 89 after a brief illness.

The week-long funeral climaxed on Thursday. Present at the funeral service were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, his wife Dolapo and general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife Pastor Foluke.

Also present were Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, former Ogun State governor Gbenga Daniel, publisher Dele Momodu, Justice George Oguntade, Prince Adedamola Aderemi among others.

The Abiodun family had on Tuesday held a service of songs for their patriarch at the Christ Apostolic Grammar School Ground, Ode Road, Iperu-Remo. Most Rev. Michael Olusina presided over the ceremony.

On Wednesday, the family held the wake while the body was made to lie-in-state at the Akesan Iperu-Akesan Club of 1954.

An educationist by profession, the deceased worked as a school teacher for many years across the old Western State and was fondly called baba teacher due to his dedication to duty imparting knowledge and inculcating the right values in his students.
