Olamide, Fireboy pay New Year courtesy visit to Oba Elegushi

Rapper Olamide and ‘Peru’ star Fireboy has paid a New Year courtesy visit to Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom in Lagos Oba Saheed Elegushi.

A photo of their visit was shared in an Instagram post on Sunday.

“YBNL on New Year’s courtesy visit,” the post read.

The Oba had on November 10 wrote a heartfelt note in celebration of his wife Olori Sekinat on her 45th birthday.

The monarch in his post on Instagram quoted the famous English playwright William Shakespeare, saying the bond between him and his wife will outlast death.

“It’s my Queen’s birthday! It’s the 45th anniversary of your glorious and wonderful birth. I won’t have met or benefited from all that you gave if you weren’t born on this day,” Oba Elegushi wrote.

Born Adedamola Adefolahan, Fireboy is signed to YBNL Nation, a record label founded by rapper Olamide.

In 2021, The 25-year-old released the single ‘Peru’ which attained global success.

He was also nominated for MOBO and MTV Awards.
