Nigerians have reacted angrily to the postponement of the general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, announced in a statement on Saturday morning that the decision to postpone was made following challenges in logistics.

The presidential and National Assembly elections earlier scheduled for February 16 will now be held on February 23, while the governorship, state houses of assembly and Federal Capital Territory Area Council polls will now be conducted on March 9 as against March 2.

Expectedly, Nigerians took to Twitter to express their anger at the postponement.
