A Nigerian has been arrested by police in Bangalore, India in connection with the drug peddling case involving Bollywood actor Kishore Aman Shetty.

Frank Ibeabuchi (33) was arrested alongside Shamin Fernandes (28), police said, without specifying date of arrest.

Another accused in the case, Shan Nawaz (34), was earlier arrested in Mumbai for supplying drugs to Shetty and his aides.

Police sources said Ibeabuchi had been staying in Bangalore for two years.

He was arrested in 2018 in a case of peddling in MDMA tablets (popularly known as ecstasy) by police in Bangalore.

Seven persons, besides Shetty, have been arrested so far in connection with the drug case involving the dancer-choreographer.

The City Crime Branch of the Bangalore police is investigating drug abuse among bigwigs, including those in the film industry after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested three people with a drug haul.

Shetty was a participant in popular dance reality show Dance India Dance and was also part of Bollywood film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance.
