Fast-rising singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable says his hit song ‘Zazoo’ deserves a Grammy Award.

The 27-year-old said this on Twitter on Thursday.

“My hit song, Zazooo deserves a Grammy award,” he wrote.

Moments after the tweet, Nigerians stormed the social media platform to react to Portable’s statement.

Portable ur song ZaZoo Zehh is popular in the streets, but that’s not a hit song & doesn’t deserve a Headies award nomination, talk more of winning a Grammy; A “hit song” is music that can transcend time. If u win an award for ZaZoo, it will be based on industry politics. No shades,” Daniel Regha wrote.

Paul the heretic tweeted: “It’s not even a national hit song. nobody plays that song here in SE. Nigeria doesn’t start and end in Lagos and the SW.

“But it’s a hit song. BTW I’m not in the SW. In the North, and Zazuu was the rave in December,” Chieffybi replied.

“Which of the North, please? I am Northerner residing in North and I can confidently deny that that song ever made name in North,” Thaddeus Peter retorted.

“Yes. Spirit-filled song it is. It has touched and changed many lives. In fact, Ukraine should use the song as their National Anthem, so peace can be restored, as stated in your lyrics thus: “wuwa ika” which means “Repent” abi?? Grammy nikan ni? Teaspoon nko?” Gbenga wrote.
