Lagos seals Cubana nightclub, others for non-compliance with Covid-19 order

Lagos State Safety Commission and the police have sealed Cubana nightclub in Ikeja and other facilities in the state capital over non-compliance with Covid-19 protocols.

Chief press secretary to the governor Gboyega Akosile tweeted this on Saturday night.

“@followlasg @lagossafety and @PoliceNG Lagos State Command sealed off Cubana night club for disobeying the State’s #COVID19 protocols,” he wrote.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had ordered nightclubs in the state to shut down over the rising cases of Covid-19.

He also banned concerts, street parties and carnivals and directed that Covid-19 protocols be adhered to in religious centres and other places with large gatherings.

In a video shared by the new media aide to the governor Gawat Jubril, the police ordered people out of the premises. Some of them in the video were holding their drinks as they moved out of the premises.

The Lagos State Safety Commission also sealed off The Corner on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1 for breaking lockdown order.
