Adewale Ojeleye declares bid for Lagos Assembly seat, seeks APC ticket

Grassroots mobiliser, media manager and business strategist Adewale Ojeleye has declared interest in the Lagos State House of Assembly race for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency I in the 2027 elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement, Mr Ojeleye said his decision is based on his background in media, business and community work, as well as his connection to Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.

He said he is from Saala community in Ifako-Ijaiye and attended Sonmori Senior Comprehensive High School.

He later studied Business Administration and Management at Lagos State Polytechnic, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma. He also earned a certificate in Photojournalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Lagos.

Ojeleye said he worked as a photojournalist with Daily Independent, The Niche, BusinessDay, Nigeria NewsDirect and The Premier Tabloid. He added that the experience exposed him to governance, public policy and community issues.

He stated that in 2015, he worked with the Lagos State Government as a photojournalist on special projects. He later moved into media management and public relations, working with individuals, companies and government agencies.

He said he is the publisher of seefinish.ng and runs Legends Lens Multi-Media Communications Ltd and Iya Oja Global Resources Limited.

Adewale Ojeleye said his aspiration is focused on legislative representation, community engagement, youth development and support for small businesses.

He added that he will seek the party’s ticket through the APC primary process ahead of the 2027 elections.
