Joeboy dumps Mr Eazi’s record label after seven years

Singer Joseph Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, has parted ways with Empawa Music, which is owned by Mr Eazi.

The singer signed a dual deal with global music giant, Warner Music. The dual deal sees Joeboy launch his record label called Young Legend as well as being Warner Music’s latest flagship artist.

Sharing a ritual-themed clip announcing the launch of his record label on X on Friday, Joeboy wrote: “Dawn of a new era. Young Legend is alive.”

The singer left his fans worried after he deleted all the posts on his Instagram account and left his profile picture blank.

The 26-year-old joined Empawa Music seven years ago and gained prominence with the release of his hit single, ‘Baby.’

He released his EP titled Love and Light in 2019 which comprises ‘Baby’, ‘Beginning’, ‘Don’t Call Me Back’, ‘All For You’ and ‘Blessings’.
