Singer Jazzman Olofin has announced the death of his father at the age of 93.
Jazzman shared the news on his Facebook page on Thursday.
He posted a video showing a compilation of photos of his father alongside a message confirming the loss.
He wrote, “Lost my dad early this morning.
Passed on in his sleep at 93.
He was a great man.
May his soul rest in peace 🙏🏾🕊️🕊️.”
Details about burial arrangements have not been made public.
Jazzman Olofin, whose real name is Benjamin Olofintuyi, gained popularity in the Nigerian music industry in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He is known for songs such as ‘Raise the Roof’ and was also a member of the group X Breed alongside reggae singer Daddy Showkey.
