I’m no longer keen on elective offices – Dele Momodu

Dele Momodu

Celebrity publisher, Dele Momodu, has said that he is no longer keen on contesting elective positions.

Momodu contested the 2011 presidential election as a member of the National Conscience Party (NCP) but lost to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Momodu had left the Labour Party in controversial circumstances following lack of support from leaders of the party who allegedly wanted a presidential candidate that would put in at least N2 billion into the coffers ostensibly for electioneering.

In response to a fan who called for support for the publisher of Ovation Magazine to run for 2023 presidency, Momodu said on Monday that he was no longer keen on elective offices but would be available to support candidates.

“Thanks so much but I hope I won’t offend you if I say I’m no longer keen on elective office. I will be available to support candidates rather than parties until we see ideological differences between them,” he said.
