Singer Wizkid has reacted to concerns over his recent appearance at an event in the UK, saying that he lost himself after his mum died.

Videos of the Grammy-winning artiste looking frail at the UK premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in London have been circulating on social media since Tuesday.

His demeanour raised concerns as many suggested that he is still not over the death of his mother.

However, in an Instagram story on Wednesday Wizkid stated that he lost himself and cannot wait to feel again.

“Look in the mirror, don’t feel myself! Mama left me and I lost myself! Can’t wait to feel myself again! Life of a soldier! Military with us,” he wrote.

This comes a month after Wizkid said that life has been meaningless since he lost his mum.

“Made idk days after I lost my mum. Life’s been meaningless! But we dey! Sometimes you got to let everything go. Work with God,” he wrote on Instagram.

Wizkid takes break from music after burying mum

Earlier in December, Wikzid took to the streets of Makoko where he distributed naira notes to children as a way of paying tribute to his mum.

Wizkid’s mum was buried on October 13 in Lagos. The burial was the talk of the town as music stars, actors, and many in the entertainment industry made appearances at the reception.

Born on July 26, 1990, in Surulere, Lagos, Wizkid grew up in a polygamous home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother. His father married three wives.
