Stripped is a six part drama series starring Daniel, Efa, Kunle, Ian Wordi and Mofe Duncan.
The series follows five friends whose financial struggles push them into stripping. Daniel plays Kelechi Okere, an out of work marketing executive, while Mofe plays Bolaji Babalola, a café owner facing business challenges. Efa stars as Damien Damina, a music video director dealing with a complicated personal situation. Ian plays Mensah Makinde, an architect balancing personal and professional pressures, and Kunle features as Voke Ovire, a conman trying to free his father from prison.
The friends are recruited as strippers by a lounge owner after being spotted at a birthday party, and the story tracks how their decision affects their lives and relationships.
Daniel, who also serves as executive producer, said he was drawn to the project because of its focus on men’s emotional experiences. “Men need to catch a break,” he said. He added that he hopes viewers will gain insight into the sacrifices men make for their loved ones.
Stripped will premiere on April 19 on Africa Magic Showcase, with new episodes airing Sundays at 8 p.m.
