Ghanaian artisan found dead inside water tank in Lagos

A Ghanaian artisan has been found dead inside a water tank in Osborne area of Lagos.

The 50-year-old was said to be working inside the tank at 8B Ondo Street, Osborne Foreshore, Ikoyi.

The artisan, popularly known as Pabobo, was alleged to have become unconscious at about 4.45pm on June 1.

Sources say the artisan appeared healthy when he began working in the water tank.

Bruises were not found on his body to indicate he had fallen while in the tank.

Lagos police spokesperson, Bala Elkana, said the victim was pronounced dead in a hospital.

“The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he later died. The police have visited the scene and taken photographs.

“His corpse was evacuated and deposited in the Lagos Island General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, investigation is in progress,” Mr Elkana said.
