The body of Ghanian TikTok rapper Francis Peprah, popularly known as 2pm, was made to stand during his burial ceremony on Tuesday.

2pm died in a ghastly motor accident in Wassa Akropong, Western Region, Ghana on November 17.

The ‘Bibini Ye Nipa’ artiste gained popularity through his renditions and covers of popular Ghanaian songs.

The corpse of the rapper was made to stand as friends and well-wishers paid their respects.

In a now-viral video, the body of the rapper could be seen holding a walking stick and standing close to his casket instead of the orthodox way of laying down in a coffin.

The body was well dressed with several chains decorated around his neck.

In another footage, the rapper’s widow could be seen weeping uncontrollably as others tried to console her. Other family members were also in tears as the funeral continued.

Many Nigerians took to social media to express shock over the manner in which the corpse was placed.

“What disrespect to the dead is this?” Actor Okon Lagos wrote on Instagram.

“This is disturbing. Especially to some of us that have necrophobia,” Aminu Musa added.

“Nawa ooooo. Person suffer pains die. Even in death una still dey give am punishment. Africans ehn, una no dey tire for rubbish. Let the dead rest in peace, you owe him that responsibility,” Micheal Ani wrote.
