Free madness: Terry G wants to be governor, deputy governor of Benue

Terry G

Eccentric singer, Terry G, has declared his intention to run for the governor and deputy governor of Benue State.

The ‘Free Madness’ singer made the announcement on Thursday, hours after Kcee made a joke of contesting the Anambra governorship election.

“My people, the time is now. Power belongs to the youths, say no to old cargo… vote Terry G for Governor/Deputy of Benue state, I will make you proud,” he wrote in a post on Instagram.

The 31-year-old, with a history of substance abuse, betrayed the influence he was under when he added: “When I say legalize you say ginjah…”

He even threatened that there will be trouble if he does not win.

Nigerian entertainers have made a farce of declaration intentions to contest elections.

Kcee announced his ambition to contest the Anambra election after Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, announced same.

But, while the Anambra election holds on November 18, 2017, the Benue governorship election is not due until 2019.
